What is the purpose of a camera?
Alright, so everybody knows that photography is the least respected of all the art forms. So why are there still photographers in the world? Why isn't everyone a painter or a singer or a musician?
I personally believe that photography is just as important as writing a story. Words can be poetic and stick in people's minds: so can pictures. Photography is about capturing emotion through REAL objects-- not just something in your mind.
The fact that everything in photographs is real makes it even more powerful, though sadly, that's also what makes it underrated.
Oh photography, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
